IS 227 Louis Armstrong Middle School
Every weekday morning about 40 buses converge at Louis Armstrong Middle School, carrying more than 1000 children in grades five through eight, who speak some 37 native languages. The make-up of the student body mirrors Queens as a whole: the school was founded in 1979 as a court-ordered experiment in racial integration. Parents and staff cherish their Civil Rights Movement ideals. The school has a well-equipped building and an experienced teaching staff. Some teachers have been there for decades. "I value, particularly, the educational freedom we're given," said Anne Paskewitz, a long-time social studies teacher. "We can be who we are. It's home." Independence is also a value appreciated by students, who take charge of graduation, open house, and student government. The school made Halal food available in the cafeteria when student council members raised the lack of it as an issue. Students in need get extra assistance in academic intervention and the Queens College after-school program, run by graduate students. In turn, IS 227 students assist area elementary school kids and visit a nursing home for their Career and Community service projects. The school benefits from up to 21 Queens College student teachers per semester. Students in grades 6 through 8 are divided into three "houses," each with an assistant principal and roughly 500 students. All the members of Chaturvedi family gets happy and excited as Toasty reveals them that Cops have called her urgently in the Government Hospital as they have found Tej thus she urgently rushes to meet him and also shares this happiness with Pashupati and Ved but this happiness does not stay for a longer time as they come to know that the guy who was lying on the bed is Tej and not Tej Prakash Chaturvedi. Where is Tej? Will Toasty find him? Is he in Pune? "Taanya is a beautiful, intelligent and multi-faceted computer science student in Mumbai. As she is about to pass out of college, her parents begin to talk about her marriage. That's when she tells them that she likes a boy called Tej and wants to marry him. Tej also loves her but is reluctant to accept the proposal because of a problem in his family. While he does not want to cheat her by keeping the truth from her, he is scared of losing her if he tells her about his family's problem. His friends try to convince him that every family has some problem so he need not even mention it to Taanya. Finally, when Tej and Taanya's families meet, there seems to be no problem and the proposal is mutually agreed upon. A grand wedding takes place and Taanya arrives in her sasuraal.
