- UPDATE: There is another screw you should undo, not shown in the video. Once the keyboard is off, there is a screw about 1/2 the way to the centre from the top-left corner (mine was painted black), you should unscrew this. If not, you will pop the heat-conducting paste which actually isn't a horrible horrible thing, but something to avoid if possible (I popped it, oops). I will try to update the video soon. - You MUST buy the right ram: 2GB, 204-pin, DDR3 PC3-8500, CL7, High-density (see below) - Disconnect the power and remove the battery before beginning - You plastic tools for removing the keyboard to avoid cosmetic damage - Be gentle! In particular do not damage the keyboard cable/connector. - IMPORTANT UPDATE: My friend ordered a SODIMM from crucial and here was low-density and it did not work. My original 10600 chip that didn't work was also low-density. The chip that did work was high-density. It may be that the chip from Crucial was defective but to be safe, I recommend calling Crucial to place the order and specifically request at *high-density* chip! NOTE: the RAM that comes with the computer seems to be PC3-10600 (it says PC3-10600s). I tried a 2gb PC3-10600 SoDIMM and it did not work. Possible my CL timings were off or something but I wouldn't risk it unless you have ram lying around or money to burn. Otherwise, make sure you get the right ram.
