After spending a considerable amount of time at Sony's CES 2011 booth, it has become increasingly obvious what product is the true star of the show. We tip our hat towards those futuristic concept 3D head mounted glasses. These aren't glasses for watching 3D on your television, but rather 3D directly displayed within. Think of it as your own personal theater. Now bear with us for a moment if owning a product like this seems silly to you. We don't blame you for thinking that way. In reality, there's a couple of considerations that make this product seem completely impractical, such as comfort, price, and so on. According to Sony, these glasses are a 3D "cinematic experience" with integrated surround sound. But what does that really mean? Well, with a built in OLED screen and a 1280x720 resolution, it means these concept glasses ooze quality. Sure, it's not 1080p, but these glasses are just an early concept and the potential is certainly there. The color reproduction is very high, thanks in part to OLED's 24-bit RGB spectrum. The aesthetics of the glasses is something straight out of Tron. The design is a reminder of Sony style and innovation from years ago when the company experimented. The glossy shell exterior is truly stunning, and is complimented by soft blue LED lighting on the front and near the built-in headphones with an illuminated logo on each side. How to see 3D video without using 3D glasses. Viewing by natural side by side, or parallel viewing to see 3D stereoscopic pictures. The 3D demonstrated here is formatted correctly for Parallel viewing but it takes a bit of practice to see. Relax your eyes and get a bit closer than normal. It is important to make your browser page smaller (about 4 fingers wide or smaller) by zooming "out" using your browser tools page "zoom" controls. The popout screen mentioned in the video only works on my justin.tv channel page. However, for practice on this page to make your video smaller in size to practice seeing in 3-D use your browser tools button to "zoom out" to make the screen size smaller. Make the video less than four fingers in width or smaller I've found is best to practice the "parallel" 3D viewing and use your pause button to stop the video at the "side-by-side" section. When you get the hang of seeing the 3rd picture in the middle, try with your browser page zoom control making the video size up to one hand width wide but no larger. I prefer Cross-Eyed best, it doesn't require any 3D Glasses and it keeps the true color. All you have to do for that is cross your eyes until both images merge in the middle and your vision locks onto it. If you're having trouble, pause the video once the first image appears (keep your mouse over the pause button so you can resume once you've locked onto the 3D). Now take your index finger and place the tip against your monitor - right under the image, between the two pics. Slowly move your finger towards your face, focusing on it but also paying attention as the 2 images merge closer and closer as you bring your finger to your face. Once the images merge into one you should be able to look up and be fixed on the 3D. You should now see 3 screens, the one in the middle is the 3D and there's also one on each side, don't pay attention to those. Also know that the farther away you are from your monitor, the less you have to cross your eyes, which should make it easier. If your viewing Cross-Eyed but the 3D player is lagging, I suggest watching it on GameTrailers: www.gametrailers.com Try watching it a couple times and focusing on different things.

I've added subtitles!* ok, so i actually had a pair of nerd glasses however they were cheap and ripped in half :( so ive been wanting a new pair, however i could never find some, so one of my friends told me to just break lenses out of 3D glasses from the theater. I thought what a great idea since i go to the movies, and get those glasses anyways i would save some money, but then i thought how on earth do i break them out, especially without harming my self(imma wimp:|) and i found an easy way, without damaging the glasses or lenses so you can reuse it!
