Moped Tour of Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Touring Banff and Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada, in the heart of Banff National Park on a rented Moped. Banff National Park is a vast untamed territory that begs to be explored. Wild animals roam the valleys, eagles soar over the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and pure water streams into rivers from 1000 glaciers. Hundreds of years ago aboriginal natives first discovered its beauty, quickly followed by explorers, map makers, and mountain climbers. Even the odd celebrity or royal type have popped by. And now you. Climb the same mountains, paddle the rivers, and inhale the air. Thats pure alpine. The sheer number of adventures, both indoors and out, is as hard to count as the peaks stretching into the distance. Ski, shop or spa, learn local history at museums and art galleries or wander down a hiking trail or two. In Banff and Lake Louise the possibilities are limitless. Summer Adventures Adventures in Banff National Park bring you face to face with nature; jagged mountain peaks rippling into the distance and thickly forested alpine valleys. Here, youll share the excitement with wild animals, wild spaces and the soothing rustle of wind through the trees. Activities in Banff and Lake Louise come at all levels. Take a casual stroll through wildflowers in an alpine meadow or test your extreme limits climbing to the roof of the Rocky Mountains. Backpack across rock ridges formed by undersea oceans over 45 million years ago, or tee-off at a five-star golf course. Throw a fish hook in ...

Awesome Alberta!

Alberta has a big, bold reputation in Canada and around the world - stark mountains, brash cowboys, mouth-watering beef, wild stampede parties, dynamic history, modern cities, bustling ski towns -- they claim to have it all. But though they talk the talk, by golly don't they back it all up! The GCAT crew was there and we have to agree, Alberta is an amazing place! During our time in Alberta the locals made us honorary Calgarians with their 'white hat ceremony.' It shows just how welcoming they are. We repeated the mantra, dropped the white Stetsons on our heads and officially became honorary Calgarians. If you go to the Calgary Stampede, the biggest cowboy party on earth, you can get sworn in too. That same day we ate prairie oysters 'bull testicles' at the famous Buzzards restaurant downtown; a surprisingly delicious dish, if you can your mind past what you are actually eating. The next morning we started our day with a maple syrup and Canadian bacon doughnut at Jelly Modern Doughnut the fanciest, tastiest gourmet donut shop on the planet. We did all of that and still hadn't left Calgary! There is just not enough time to take everything the province has to offer; but it's fun trying! After Calgary the Rocky Mountains were calling to us so we headed towards their awesome spine of jagged peaks towering above the flat, stoic prairies. Before entering into the beautiful little alpine ski towns of Banff and Lake Louise we stopped to play cowboy at the world famous Rafters Six ...

Lily Afshar - Koyunbaba, Op 19 Moderato

Lily Afshar Lily Afshar is like a breath of fresh air in the world of classical guitar. Her solo, chamber, and concerto appearances combined with her adventurous recordings have earned her the status of "one of the world's foremost classical guitarists" according to Public Radio International. Lily's collaborations with international composers have resulted in premieres of new works by Carlo Domeniconi, Reza Vali, Garry Eister, Gerard Drozd, Loris Chobanian, Arne Mellnas, Kamran Ince, Barbara Kolb, Marilyn Ziffrin, David Kechley, and Salvador Brotons. Her exciting concert programs continue to earn her an active schedule of solo, chamber and concerto appearances in the US and around the world. Recent highlights include concerts in the US, England, Ireland, Canada, France, Iran, Jordan, Denmark, Italy, Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and South America. Worst vacation and resort - never going back!

These reviews were on SellOffVacations provided by vacationers... we do a lot of research before booking to avoid the nightmare vacation. brother got his laptop stolen doors are not safe then the lock broke on my parents room so by the end of it they ended up promoting us 2 the grand #### hotel but other then that it was goood they just gotta up secrurity a little Terrible. During Spring break time, service was terrible, food was terrible. Ate undercooked meat/got sick. There was no free bottled water for vacationers, no water filtration system. Overall the worst vacation of my life. Room was dirty. Was not worth 200 bucks, let alone 1200. The ocean was also very rocky/I did not expect that. I hope I never have one like that again. We were not happy at this resort! The room they gave us was on the main level (lagoon view) which would be fine if one could actually look out the window beyond the walls blocking it. It felt like we were in a basement room. the resort itself was nice, full of young people who were there to party. Oh and lots of stairs. My husband was recovering from surgery and we thought a vacation on the beach would be a great place to recover since he was not allowed to exert himself. Well the amount of stairs just to get from the lobby to the beach is alot. beach too rocky - a huge disapointment had a camera and $400 dollars stolen from our room while we were down for breakfast they were obvously watching and waiting for us. Know before you go. Two things ...

DAY42 - Five Alarm Funk - Iron Pegasus

Video #42 of 1000 - Five Alarm Funk - Iron Pegasus. Recorded live at The Rickshaw Theatre on May 11, 2012 in HD (1080p). Five Alarm Funk is a horn powered, percussion fuelled sonic and visual assault. For more than six years the band has brought their relentless and unforgettable live show to clubs and major festivals across Canada and the United States. I couldn't find a place to shoot unobstructed at the completely packed and rocking Rickshaw last night, so I asked to go 'backstage' and ended up over the stage with a great vantage. They blew the doors off the place for their album release last night and are in the midst of a tour to support it (NW USA, cross Canada). If they're coming to your town, make sure you grab some friends and go see them!
