We are already counting down to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. We do that by looking back to recent editions of Europe's favorite TV show. This time we go to 2006, when the contest was held in Athens, Greece Lordi represented Finland in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Hard Rock Hallelujah'. They won the grand final in Athens and brought the contest to Helsinki in 2007.

Perhaps somewhat of a departure for the label with it's savage bass & ear splitting synths, 'Quasar' has been a mainstay in Axwell's sets for the past few months and a heavyweight highlight at the Swedish House Mafia's Madison Square Garden show back in December. Since the release of 'Blow Up' last January, Hard Rock Sofa have released a string of releases, highlights including their re-vision of 'I Wanna Be Your Dog' on Sander Van Doorn's Doorn Records and reworking the summer anthem 'Sending Me Love' for Spinnin' Records that featured Max C who of course featured on Axwell's classic 'I Found U'. The one and only original mix will be released exclusively through Beatport on the13th February, with Axtone already lining the next cut which may or may not be from another 'Trio' of Russians...

Mendoza is the bassist for the reformed version of Thin Lizzy with whom he is touring Europe throughout 2011. Mendoza joined the band in 1996 then left in 2000. From 2000 to 2003 he toured with Ted Nugent. Mendoza returned to Thin Lizzy in 2005 replacing Randy Gregg and left again in 2007. He then toured with ex-Dokken guitarist George Lynch in his band Lynch Mob. After John Sykes' departure from Thin Lizzy 2009, Scott Gorham set to work on creating the greatest lineup of Thin Lizzy since Phil Lynott's passing. Rejoining him are old band mates Brian Downey (the only founder of the band now playing) and Darren Wharton. New to the lineup are Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell and former The Almighty vocalist Ricky Warwick. They released two albums, Easy Action and That Makes One. Easy Action was the first Scandinavian band to sign a worldwide major label deal with a US label, with the Warner label Sire Records in 1983. Zinny Zan later left the band and was replaced by Tommy Nilsson. They recorded That Makes One in 1985/1986 and released it in 1986, only months before Marcello left the band (in November 1986) to join Europe, replacing their original guitarist John Norum.

Prior to joining Scorpions, Kottak was a drummer for Nut House, Mister Charlie, Buster Brown, Montrose, Kingdom Come, Wild Horses, the McAuley Schenker Group, Warrant, and Ashba. In February 1997 he helped Dio on their US tour by replacing Vinny Appice for four or five shows when Vinny Appice had pneumonia. He also gave drum lessons at Far-Out Music in Jeffersonville, Indiana, once having former Bride drummer, Jerry McBroom, as a student.
