The film shows the original analog Dubreq Stylophone, played through analog effects: Electro Harmonix Small Stone and WERSI Wersivoice Ensemble. The Stylophone was recorded from the signal output jack. Lexicon MPX-500 reverb and Soundcraft S-1024 digital delay were also used. Such a Stylophone model was used by Kraftwerk on "Computerwelt" / "Computer World". The Stylophone has a signal output, which allows you to process the sound (like in this vid).

This is my first design, build and code arduino project. Prior to this I've just been building the projects in the ARDX kit and coding to play with the circuits. This is a stylophone built using just the components included in the excellent www.oomlout.co.uk ARDX arduino starter kit. The only addition were 8 bare wires for the keys, as the jumpers in the kit leave no bare wire when in the breadboard.. It basically monitors 8 inputs and if one is LOW it plays the corresponding note through the peizo buzzer. The input is low by using the stray GRND wire as a stylus on the bare wires for a given pin. Me playing the White Stripes song "Little Acorns" on my Raconteurs Stylophone. There are a few mistakes because I'm lazy and didn't want to rerecord it, and I'm not all that good with a Stylophone yet. I listened to the song through headphones on the computer, and recorded the Stylophone at the same time, but had the audio play back in real time, so i heard myself but with a delay so there are a few tempo issues there. I'll post my recording of Black Math later, with has multiple parts overdubbed, and drums.

This is an improvisation using some of the more lowbrow vintage instruments from the NeoKitsch Studio. Normally, the Omnichord 300 is used in the studio as a midi controller for other high end synths. This Omnichord is the OM27 model which was the first of its kind, and, as you can hear, it can produce some very interesting and dated sounds. NeoKitsch often likes to use glitch sounds and instruments, and in this particular experiment, a record player was used to create crackle noises.
