VVV PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION VVV Paper eyelashes are a gorgeous way to add a unique twist to your eyes. Unfortunately, because they're made of paper, they're also very fragile. :( And if you're a broke college student like me, you might not want to spend almost $20 on something you might only get to wear once. So I decided to create a tutorial to show you how you can make your own paper eyelashes. I know that the look I created with the lashes is a very dramatic one, but that's because Halloween's coming up! And this is the beauty of making your own designs; if you want a more toned-down look, you can make a toned-down look. :) SUPPLIES: = Black permanent marker = Precision cutting tool. You can use a surgical scalpel or an artist cutting tool. Both can be found online for under $10. I spoke to one of Blick's customer service reps and she recommended the X-Acto Econo Swivel Knife (www.dickblick.com for this project. = White paper. You can use any paper that isn't too thick. Your lashes have to look delicate, so things like cardboard or Bristol paper won't cut it. But before you decide to start this project, however, please weigh the pros and cons of making your own: Pros: = Although you do need to purchase some materials, in the long run, it's MUCH cheaper than buying a set. = If you draw your own lashes, you can tailor them to your personality and make them just how you want them =) Cons: = This is a very time-consuming process.
