Black Sabbath has been so influential in the development of heavy metal rock music as to be a defining force in the style. The group took the blues-rock sound of late '60s acts like Cream, Blue Cheer, and Vanilla Fudge to its logical conclusion, slowing the tempo, accentuating the bass, and emphasizing screaming guitar solos and howled vocals full of lyrics expressing mental anguish and macabre fantasies. If their predecessors clearly came out of an electrified blues tradition, Black Sabbath took that tradition in a new direction, and in so doing helped give birth to a musical style that continued to attract millions of fans decades later.

Laguna's HP attacks center on the airship Ragnarok from FF8. Laguna's EX Mode is a reference to FF8 when Squall's mind experienced Laguna's life in flashbacks - Laguna and his allies sensed Squall's presence giving them strength (GFs and Magic) and decided it was faeries assisting them. His EX Mode gives him the Aura status, coloring his weapons gold. The focus on the airship is due to the Japanese naming of the two - "ラ・グ・ナ", Ra-gu-na - the first three syllables in the Japanese name of the Ragnarok double as the way to spell Laguna's name due to the LR change-up in Japanese. In essence, the Ragnarok is named for Laguna himself.

Donna had a scheduled trip to Stanford University to visit her brain cancer doctor. We make visits roughly every 4 months to ensure no additional growth has happened. Four years ago Donna had surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery team was able to remove 98% of the mass and our visits to Stanford keep an eye on what is left. Donna spends roughly an hour in an MRI machine while they take detailed pictures of her head. They put a solution of "contrast" in her system during the MRI. If the remaining tumor portion lights up on the MRI results, then we have something to worry about. Fortunately this has not happened. We decided to make a trip to Disneyland and the surrounding area. Disneyland was a blast. Kyle is not a huge fan of roller coasters but did step up to the plate and ride every coaster that was open. Because he is a senior this year and this may be our last family trip before his graduation, he wanted to make the most of it for his mom and I. He is an AWESOME kid! This video was taken a few days before her appointment. The small beach turnout in Laguna Beach California was calm and quiet. One man was walking his two dogs at the other end of the beach and I was greeted by two early morning runners as I set up the recording. This is one segment from the restored video player “ Kawasaki Good Times Theatre”. The Good Times Theatre video players were used at Kawasaki dealerships in the 1970's for customer viewing on the showrooms. This restored video features great Kawasaki moments from the mid to late 1970's. Audio quality on the restored video is fair, but clearly understandable. This is a great piece of Motorcycle History.
