my max/msp lemur sequencer
this is a sequencer i programmed in max using the lemur as a control interface. it sends midi info to whatever program you use. i also forgot to mention that each track can have independent timings, so varitions can span longer than just 1 bar of music. lemur users can download it off the jazzmutant website. user name - Andrew Graham
Island Evolution: Skipping Lemur
Verreaux's Sifaka, an indri lemur native to Madagascar, is one of the more peculiar and less widely known members of the primate order. It makes large leaps between trees, but even more amazingly, it skips along sideways on two legs while moving around on the ground. Perhaps the inspiration for Tigger? Island environments such as Madagascar, the Galapagos, and Oceania produce many interesting and unique species via genetic drift and natural selection as they adapt to their new environment, and slowly become incapable of breeding with their mainland counterparts. Here it is set up with a custom template I pieced together with my friend m.0 & from the template on their site - nothing to it - these are just some scrap sounds from a session we had the other night. The faders bring in the tracks and the buttons above the faders are record enable, solo, mute, and select. Everything else is pretty much set up to control whatever I might want. More to come...

Friendly Brown Lemurs on Lemur Island in wonderful Madagascar. Adventure trip organized by Wilderness Travel and our thoughtful guide was Vy Raharinosy. The lemur seems to have aspirations of being a chapeau. Even the lemur likes a Tilley hat! This is one of Dan's activities, when he is not practicing law, playing with grandchildren or raising funds as a volunteer for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

Sneezing Bunny and Leapin' Lemurs!
Another awesome family vlog! These past 2 weeks we... Daddy discovered a meowing kitty in our backyard. He brought him inside and feed him and played with him. He meowed a lot! Then we took him back outside to see if he would go home. He really liked our cat Zanith and he really liked our mailbox too! We found his home and his family. He has about 3 or 4 siblings and a mom and a dad, they all followed us back home where the whole family enjoyed our cat food! :) Then they all went back to their house. We hope we see him again! We also went to the zoo! We saw lots of cool animals there! Jonah got kissed by a Lemur! And the bunnies were so cute and soft! Black lemurs get high off millipedes in Madagascar. The lemurs bite the millipedes gently to provoke the millipedes to spray out defensive chemicals including cyanide. The lemurs crave these chemicals and rub the secretions all over their body to act as an insect repellant but as a consequence the lemurs enter a blissful state.
