Start at 2:13 to skip the intro. This is an idea I've had since I was a kid, and after watching Mike Cberts Diesel mini bike video I was inspired to put together my own! The frame has been around since I was 4 years old! At that point it was powered by a 3 hp Briggs and Stratton and is a Fox corporation, Trail Bug probably from the 60's or early 70's. The engine is a copy of a 10 hp Yanmar single cylinder Diesel engine and the turbo is similar to the one on my Honda CX-500 Turbo motorcycle. The engine runs at 3600 rpm max and top speed so far is 39.3 mph.

Minibike clutch cleaning & maintanence. Blow compressed air through clutch holes to remove dust then use a few drops of 30W motor oil to lubricate the clutch bearing. Make sure oil does not get inside the clutch itself. Push minibike forward without starting to allow the oil to flow through the bearing surface. Here's a short bit of footage of his first attempt at riding on two wheels. He's been riding a quad bike since he turned 6 but now he's 8 and a half and needed something a little taller. I got this from a store on ebay and their really cheap, something like 200 euro delivered and they are really well made. The engine is the same type you'll find in all the 47/49cc minimoto's although its the latest variation of it. it comes with a metal pull start, although i've never really had any problems with the plastic ones in the past. The pull start and the frame of the bike are coated in a crinkle finish paint thats supposed to be pretty good for rust protection, i'll see how that works out in a few months though. i like the tethered cut off cord but they should maybe include a velcro band with it so it can be attached to the childs wrist or something. mine just has a clip on the end and sometimes i dont have anywhere to clip it to on the little fella. Disc brakes front and rear are pretty good. they lock up well but they are cable brakes rather than hydraulic so they will get softer over time and need a little adjusting. The bike needs a little assembling straight out of the box but its nothing too serious really. Just dont bother with the "tool kit" they include with the bike. its the softest pile of shit ive ever come across. The rear wheel needed some adjusting before use as the chain was far too tight for it to move smoothly so that was the first task. Then there's aligning <b>...</b>

*Warning: Don't try this at home. I am not to be held responsible for any one else trying this and burning themselves, burning others or burning down something. * :P This is a video of my newest addition to my Baja Dirt/Doodle Bug mini bike, a dual pipe flamethrower exhaust! I now call this my Baja Fire Bug! I already swapped out the weak 2.8hp stock engine and replaced it with a 6hp Tecumseh Power Sport engine, then I added a couple makeshift air scoops out of plumbing parts, then I built a custom dual pipe exhaust for it out of more plumbing parts. Then after going to the drag races and watching the fire show the jet cars and jet trucks do, I decided I wanted to try to make a flamethrower exhaust too, to do a mini version of that, and so I did. After about a week of experimenting with different injection methods, liquids and different ignition ways, this is what I came up with. A hole drilled into the exhaust pipe, a tube with a valve going to the hole, a spray bottle filled with kerosene to inject into the tube, and two propane torches at the end of the pipe to act as pilot lights. Put all that together and you get what you see in this video. I've changed the injection system a bit since I've made this video to make bigger and constant flames even at high speed. Sometime I'll make a new video and upload that to show the mods to it and the more epic flames.

If you are having trouble with your mini bike/quad whereby its difficult to start, bogging down, cutting out or overflowing then this video could help you get it running sweet. Of course i would check firstly that there is compression, (the pull start should be difficult to pull slowly) and that there is spark. Do that by removing the spark and with it still connected to the HT lead, Place it against the cylinder and pull the starter. You should get a spark arcing across. Carbs are pretty much the most common of all problems on these mini 47 and 49 cc engines and that can be anything from overflowing, which is caused when the float gets stuck in the bottom of the bowl or when the cut of valve gets stuck open too, to cutting out and bogging down, This is usually a blockage of the main jet. It is very important to keep the jet clean and to make sure you can see clearly through it as seen in the video. if you get dirt in here then less fuel is able to get through when on open throttle and the bike is starved, causing it to cut out or loose revs. make sure to get the 2 stroke ratio to fuel right too. A lot of the blockage problems are generally caused by having too much 2 stroke mixed in and it turns gooey after a while.

wanted to update you on the LIL Indian Rupp Minibike that had the older 3 hp gold colored briggs,,bought this barely used 3 hp briggs from a neighbor and gave 50 dollars for it and it is a truly wonderful running motor,,wish I had 10 more just like it.

Azusa turbocharged minibike that puts out about 5-7lbs. I cleaned the bike up some and no longer needed the battery to run the pump. The old Facet pump seized up so I got an electric vane pump. It runs off of the charge coil (puts out 13-14 volts) and the light runs off of a lamp coil. I dont need to pump out a lot of speed but with the right sprocket it will go pretty goodand is perfect for cruising the drag races in Bakersfield. Check out wdows So Cal on facebook to see us all.

I like the folding mini bikes of the 60's and 70's for their practicality. This one is called the Fuji Go Devil Mini Bike and looks like a square suitcase when completely folded. These AREN'T my bikes so I dont know much about any except for the green bike. Its similar to my Doodlebug with a 2.8 HP Chinese made engine (98 CC) These were just some of the neighborhood guys riding around. One was Chopper style and the other was similar to chopper style but made by Baja. The one Chopper style has Electric start and to me sounded like a 2-Stroke but I didnt ask. The Baja Chopper hasn't been properly maintained as you can hear it backfire in the vid. Peace -Stlouissu9119

This is a first start, walk around, and top speed run of my new 6.5hp 196cc Baja Warrior Mini Bike. My 5 year old Mini Baja is getting really beat and is in rough shape so I thought it was time to retire it and get a new on. Decided to get the baja warrior this time because I like the look of it a bit more. I'll keep the other one functional as long as I can but it's going to be mostly a parts bike now. The first thing I'm going to steal from it is the torque converter and just give it the stock centrifugal clutch gear reduction system from the new Baja.

This is a how to video with step by step instructions on how to convert a Baja Warrior or Mini Baja to a torque converter clutch for more torque and more speed. In the video I show all the steps then take it on a top speed run to see the difference. It is a Comet TAV2 30 Torque-A-Verter for a 3/4 inch shaft and the 10 tooth sprocket for a #40/41/420 chain. I hate hearing my own voice so I lowered the pitch of my narration a bit so it sounds like someone else lol. :P
