Chiamato semplicemente "Peter Pan" in america, questo film uscì nelle sale americane nel 1953. Quattordicesimo classico, venne diretto dagli ormai esperti Hamilton Luske, Clyde Geronimi e Wilfred Jackson. Fa parte del "periodo d'oro", dove, finita la guerra, in cui si producevano film più economici e meno attraenti (non è un caso che siano anche i meno conosciuti, anzi, spesso vengono occultati dalla Disney stessa, un esempio è "Musica maestro") la Disney inizia di nuovo a produrre grandi film paragonabili a "Biancaneve" o "Pinocchio", iniziando da "Cenerentola" (1950), che darà di nuovo agli Studios la forza economica, producendo il quartetto "Alice nel paese delle meraviglie - Peter Pan - Lilli e il vagabondo e La bella addormentata nel bosco". Giunti a questo film, inizierà una svolta, causata dagli scarsi incassi ottenuti, inaugurata nel 1961 con "La carica dei 101", dove la Disney adotta per la prima volta il procedimento Xerox. Il film si compone di alcuni dei più popolari e riusciti personaggi Disney: da Peter Pan, che nessuno ormai osa immaginare in modo diverso da come è visualizzato nel film, a Capitan Uncino, con una caratterizzazione caratteriale riuscitissima, a Trilli, disegnata in modo davvero attraente. Questo è forse il più popolare personaggio del cartone, tanto che è diventato uno dei simboli della azienda, insieme a Topolino e alla canzone "When you wish upon a star", usata in apertura di ogni film. Peter claims that he masturbates, but at least he isn't the main character of this crazy song. It's a little choppy, but the speed of the song didn't leave time for transitions. This video has taken a lot of hours. I think Ive spent somewhere between 20-30 hours on it overall. But in the end it was worth it and for once Im really happy with the result. But the main concept of this story was to create a third instalment in the Peter Pan series. Ive always been curious about what would happen after he left Jane to grow up. So this is my take on it (I know the movie Hook pretty much explains it, but this is a wee bit different.
