Today a few of us got in a couple practice runs on the Ed Levin Speed Gliding 2010 course. I was flying fairly conservatively just to get a feel of the layout and which line(s) to take and so forth...my time, though, was 1 minute, 30 seconds (not including altitude gate penalties) which isn't bad for a trial run. There are numerous areas in this video where I can shave off time, however, and that will be my goal in the next couple weeks. This video was produced to give competitors a feel of the course layout.

With only 12 hr on my new t2 I decide to run the Ed Levin Speed Gliding comp. I quickly discover that I cannot control the glider well at 3/4 VG and a steep dive. I try to stay on top of the PIO but almost getting dumped into the mountain multiple times, leaves me having to back off the course after major turn gates. Great landings was what I had to look forward too.
