CHAN: For people who ride the train in Indonesia without paying a ticket the party is now over. The authorities have begun to spray them with liquid paint. Let's take a look. STORY: Electric trains linking Jakarta and its neighboring towns are packed with passengers during rush hour. To avoid paying, many stand in between the carriages or sit on the roof of the train. After several failed attempts to discourage the roof riders, the state owned railway company decided to spray them with colored liquid. This way, the officers can identify them when they get off the train. [Akhmad Sujadi, Regional Spokesman, State Railway], "Actually, spraying will help identify and capture the people who ride on top of the train. If not, they will mingle with other passengers after they get off the train and makes it very difficult to get them." Some passengers have mixed feelings towards the move. [Wait, Train Passenger]: "I don't agree with the spraying. Poor people, they may be late for work." [Heru, Train Commuter]: "I agree, because it endangers their lives." Although illegal, roof riding is rampant in Jakarta. It's due to a lack of efficient and affordable means of transport.
